Unpopular opinion: THE CHAOS MAKES THE PHOTOS BETTER ✨
That's when it hit me. The chaos makes the photos better.
When I imported and saw these photos, everything made sense. All the running around (after 3 boys for this family!), some tears and the stress of choosing the perfect outfits, everything just melts away and lets what's really important shine through... time spent with your loved ones.
When it's unscripted, that's where the magic happens, that's what makes our personalities come out. That's when we are experiencing our lives rather than performing them. I think it's important, now more than ever, that, yes, we will get all the cute photos looking at the camera, but... the ones that will really mean the most to us looking back are ''baking cooking with grandma'' or ''playing in the yard with family''. I think it's so special that I get to be a honorary family member for the day and get to experience and photograph a day in your life, whether that day is making cookies on a Sunday morning or exploring the beach. And that's what makes it all worth it.
So DO something for our shoot, don't just show up for a photoshoot... show up to bake cookies too, show up to go frolic in the fields, show up to make drawings in the sand, show up to see if you're taller than a sunflower, show up to marry the love of your life! Show up to wander and kiss your dog... show up to spend TIME with YOUR people.
... all while looking a little extra cute 😉
